About The Position

A Proposal Specialist has advanced experience in marketing within the A/E/C industry. Responsible for the creation, editing, and preparation of proposals and responses, creating marketing material, and tracking client projects and opportunities in the Company’s CRM database. Will take initiative, research client opportunities and coordinate client meetings with technical staff or an office leader. A Proposal will assist the various office leadership in business development facilitation activities and marketing planning/strategy specifically relating to proposal submittals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related Technical Field
  • 5-7+ years of marketing experience with emphasis on proposal writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Excellent writing and proofreading ability
  • Attention to detail
  • A/E/C experience
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities
  • Professional, represents the RLB brand

Responsibilities

  • Leads the effort on professional and client-focused marketing materials, including presentations, capability statements, and proposal responses
  • Marketing database entry / CRM management for office location
  • Oversight of marketing content/drafting and/or editing.
  • May prepare qualifications and proposal submittals using Adobe InDesign software according to brand guidelines
  • Prepares client correspondence
  • Attends various client events and meetings
  • Research client opportunities for consideration and prioritization by the office leader
  • Client tracking and research
  • Contributes to office marketing planning/strategy and facilitates implementation
  • Collecting and organizing representative matters, client lists, and industry/geographic experience.
  • Conducting research and compiling information regarding existing and prospective clients, competitor activity, and industry or market trends to aid in the development of marketing plans, presentations, and proposals.
  • Prepare brochures and capability statements using Adobe InDesign software according to brand guidelines
  • Author/draft content for qualifications, proposals, brochures, and capability statements
  • Market research of potential new clients and project opportunities
  • Maintenance of contract/prospect tracking systems and project database
  • Input and implementation of marketing plan
  • Attend networking functions as appropriate
  • Attendance at pre-submittal meetings when necessary
  • Participate in marketing meetings with other Company marketing members
  • Adds to team effort by accomplishing other duties as assigned.
