About The Position

York Space Systems is seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented Proposal/Marketing Creative Lead to support business development and capture efforts in government space systems programs. This role will drive visual strategy, storytelling, and proposal content for competitive U.S Government and commercial space systems pursuits. The ideal candidate will blend design expertise with persuasive copywriting to develop compliant, on-brand, and compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral that win.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in proposal graphics, marketing, or creative roles supporting government contracting and/or commercial experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft PowerPoint with version control tools, and collaboration platforms (SharePoint/Teams)
  • Strong visual storytelling, conceptual design, and layout skills with the ability to synthesize technical inputs into clear visuals
  • Knowledge of proposal compliance and Section L/M requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines and collaborate across technical and business teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; exceptional organization and multitasking abilities

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience; track record serving as the creative lead on high-value competitive bids (e.g., $50M+)
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and data visualization tools; strong understanding of page-limited submission strategy
  • Experience visualizing technical systems (e.g., space architectures, ground systems, cybersecurity, ISR, satellite systems)
  • Familiarity with OTAs, FAR/DFARS, federal procurement standards, and proposal best practices
  • Exposure to cross-functional capture processes; familiarity with Shipley/APMP or similar methodologies
  • Experience supporting DoD, Space Force, NASA, or IC-related proposals
  • Exposure to space systems domains (satellite systems, ground systems, ISR, command & control, space domain awareness)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the visual and narrative strategy for proposals, presentations, qualifications packages, and marketing collateral
  • Ensure brand alignment and clear communication of win themes, discriminators, and value propositions
  • Create graphics, infographics, system/architecture diagrams, data visualizations, and visual storytelling assets for page-limited submissions
  • Develop layouts, templates, and multimedia content (PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, videos) for proposals and corporate presentations
  • Support, edit, and contribute to proposal writing to ensure persuasive and accurate messaging
  • Support proposal operations activities from RFI/RFP/RFQ/OTA/IDIQ task order release through final submission
  • Format and package proposal volumes in accordance with RFP instructions (Section L & M) and solicitation requirements; maintain compliance throughout
  • Prepare final deliverables for electronic submission via portals
  • Partner with Proposal Operations, Capture Managers, Business Development, and subject matter experts to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling visuals
  • Participate in color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold) and iterative editing cycles to meet aggressive proposal deadlines
  • Maintain document version control, file structures, and repositories (SharePoint/Teams)
  • Support managing proposal library and reusable content database; capture best practices to continually improve workflows
  • Stay current on federal contracting trends, proposal standards, and commercial marketing best practices
