About The Position

Southland Industries is seeking a Proposal Data Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining and collecting project data for various regions, including New Construction, Existing Buildings, Service, and Energy. The specialist will track key project milestones, collect photo documentation, and manage fabrication/modular shop data. Responsibilities also include developing prequalification package submissions, assisting with deliverable lists, timelines, submission requirements, and establishing file structures for prequalifications and project data. The role involves developing relationships with regional proposal teams, understanding company processes, and collecting regional BD data to support the Data Analyst team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communicator, analytical mindset, relationship driven, project management.
• Good project management skills with the ability to meet assigned deadlines.
• Good relationship building skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Competent in MS Office.
• Minimum 1–3 years' experience in data collection, business development, or related field.

Nice To Haves

• Project management experience preferred.
• Experience in the Engineering or Construction Industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and collects project data for respective regions, including New Construction, Existing Buildings, Service, and Energy.
• Tracks key milestones of the projects including photo collection.
• Maintains and collects fabrication/modular shop data for respective regions.
• Develops prequalification package submissions for respective regions as requested.
• Assists with developing a deliverable list, timeline for document preparation, submission requirements, and final prequalification submission.
• Establishes and maintains file structures for prequalifications and project data for respective regions.
• Develops relationships with the regional proposal team.
• Establishes fundamental understanding of company process and protocol.
• Collects regional BD data to support the Data Analyst team.
