About The Position

We are seeking a Property Tax Administrator to support our Indirect Tax team. This position provides foundational support for property tax compliance, appeals administration, and data analysis activities, assisting in the coordination of documentation requests and maintaining accurate property tax records across a national portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in property tax, real estate, accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of property tax processes, assessments, and appeals preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working with large datasets, property records, or tax systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions or requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and review of property-level data entered by outside consultants, including assessed values, tax bills, and jurisdictional details, to ensure records are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
  • Assist with tracking completion of property tax incentive deadlines, filings, and statuses across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support the property tax appeals process by gathering documentation, organizing data, and coordinating communications with management and external consultants.
  • Coordinate updates to appeal activity in the database, including filings, savings, and supporting analysis, to support ongoing tracking, reporting, and management visibility.
  • Monitor shared mailbox, review property tax notices for accuracy, and assist in identifying discrepancies.
  • Coordinate tax estimate requests by gathering required information, tracking request status, and communicating updates with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
  • Conduct basic research on property tax regulations, assessment methodologies, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Real Estate, Accounting, and Operations—to resolve property tax-related issues.
  • Maintain organized documentation and support internal controls, audit requests, and compliance requirements.
