A seasoned Property Specialist and exhibit and event tech with ten years of relevant experience to manage, track and care for NASA artifacts and exhibit items such as outreach displays, banners, flight hardware in support of the NASA Communication Services (NCS) Contract at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. This job will be 100% on-site. The candidate will use experience and judgement to plan, account for, control, care for, maintain and manage both Government furnished, and Contractor acquired government property in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations, FAR 52.245-1 and the NASA FAR Supplement 1852.245-71. Management of items includes shipping and receiving, equipment readiness checks, data entry in property management software, keeping detailed lists of collateral. NSC property includes but is not limited to: exhibits, space hardware, artifacts, artwork, models, electronics, shop tools, machinery, furniture, and materials. The successful candidate may also be asked occasionally to deploy those items at community events or on-site. This position requires shipping and receiving of items on a daily basis, including following all compliance procedures. The candidate will assist with warehouse activities such as assistance with production of large format printing, inventory, assembly and disassembly of visual effects and artifacts, and following procedures to properly document inventory in and out of the facility. The successful candidate will also attend meetings, communicate with customers and assist the shop manager and staff with estimates, shop upkeep, event preparation and execution as needed. Must be able to drive a fork truck and work in an active warehouse around machinery and chemicals/paints.
