About The Position
The Facility Maintenance co-op is responsible for assisting with facilities management for all RMV Service Centers. He/she will learn the different facets relating to facilities management and ensuring smooth operation throughout our centers. This position requires travel throughout the state.
Requirements
- Must possess a current and valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator’s License or equivalent license from the State in which you reside.
- Must be able to travel sometimes daily and to multiple locations in a given day.
- Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Assist and support operations team on ongoing projects.
- Assist with daily site inspections.
- Assist with resolving Service Center facility related issues and problems.
- Assist with light duty maintenance, repairs, and installs to support the RMV Service Centers as needed.
- Assist with maintaining Prism work orders to make sure they are complete in a timely manner.
- Assist with escorting contractors as needed.
- Assist with tracking various needed items.
- Assist with supporting all MassDOT business units with Property Services matters include reporting and dispatching appropriate personnel to address situations.
- Assist maintenance supervisor with landscaping on MassDOT owned properties, light carpentry such as patching and painting.
- Travel throughout the region and state, as required, to different facilities.
- Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Operations Management Team.
