About The Position

The Property Record Specialist (PRS) performs various duties assigned by management. They ensure that property values in the county are accurately recorded, regularly updated, and certified each year for fair and accurate property tax billings. This role supports taxpayers, county officials, and other stakeholders by maintaining reliable property records, processing ownership and sales information, and assisting with taxpayer programs and appeals.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be a primary resident of Montana.
  • Must pass the department’s CORE Assessment training, within the first year of employment.
