About The Position

The John Stewart Company is seeking a Property Operations Specialist to assist and support Regional Directors and Regional Managers with onboarding new properties, lease-ups, and providing support during staff transitions and turnovers. The role involves 70-80% site assignments/projects, some of which can be completed in the corporate office. The initial two years will focus on onboarding new properties and supporting the SF RAD, along with other properties experiencing staffing changes and turnovers.

Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in management, training, and evaluation with Tax Credit properties.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.
  • Knowledge of property financials/ledgers/budgets.
  • Tax credit experience is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous knowledge of Boston Post software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HUD and other affordable programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for creating and processing invoices for sites using Nexus.
  • Manage property site vendors through vendor contract review.
  • Review rent rolls and files for new properties, and assist in creating and managing new and existing site files.
  • Work with Boston Post Software on site documentation.
  • Assist with compliance, including lease-up certifications at properties.
  • Support various types of properties.
