About The Position

JCMLiving is seeking an experienced Property Manager or Sr. Property Manager to oversee some of our premier apartment communities in Middlesex County, NJ. This leadership role is ideal for a motivated professional with a proven track record of maximizing property performance, developing high-performing teams, and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate is a strategic leader who is highly organized, technology-driven, financially focused, and passionate about creating thriving communities.

Requirements

  • Must be an expert Multi-Tasker with adaptability and flexibility
  • Understand and execute Management Goals
  • Must be Tech-Savy: Understand how programs work
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Property Manager experience, including leadership of market-rate multifamily communities
  • Proven success in increasing occupancy, resident satisfaction, and financial performance
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operating expenses
  • Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day operations of a market-rate apartment community
  • Drive occupancy, leasing performance, and resident retention
  • Oversee property financial performance, including budgeting, rent collections, and expense management
  • Deliver exceptional resident service while effectively resolving concerns
  • Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop leasing, office, and maintenance team members
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and customer service excellence
  • Ensure the community is maintained to JCMLiving's high standards for curb appeal, cleanliness, and maintenance
  • Oversee vendor relationships and capital improvement projects
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents and employees
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local municipalities, police, fire departments, and community organizations
  • Analyze operational and financial reports to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
