This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, supervising, and participating in the day-to-day general maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and vehicles. The Property Manager will plan, schedule, assign, and supervise the work of subordinate personnel, as well as monitor and evaluate contracted maintenance services. They will ensure all equipment is in proper working order and complies with operating procedures and safety standards, and will participate in difficult repair work. The role involves operating a Salvation Army vehicle for material pick-up/delivery and maintaining an inventory of Salvation Army property. Key responsibilities include planning and supervising maintenance and grounds personnel, overseeing preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, assisting with departmental budget preparation and administration, developing and maintaining a network of sub-contractors and vendors, and preparing contracts and paperwork for projects. Accurate record-keeping for maintenance work is also required.
