The Affordable Housing Property Manager is responsible for the property's overall performance, including financial results, legal and compliance adherence, resident satisfaction, building health and maintenance, and employee engagement. This role fosters an inclusive working environment, promotes growth through training and development, and ensures employees have the necessary tools to succeed. Key responsibilities include rent collection, managing delinquencies, maintaining and increasing occupancy, maximizing rent potential, managing application waiting lists, and ensuring accurate and timely resident selection and certification for affordable housing programs. The Property Manager must control expenses, pass REAC and MOR inspections, and maintain quality standards. They conduct lease processes, annual re-certifications for HUD and Tax Credit compliance, and ensure adherence to Section 8 and HUD regulations. The role also involves planning resident activities, handling tenant complaints and emergencies, providing excellent customer service, processing work orders, conducting unit inspections, and ensuring impeccable property curb appeal.
