About The Position

The largest housing authority in the State of New Mexico is looking for an energetic, conscientious and detail oriented individual who enjoys making a difference, being part of a team and takes pride in their career to work in our fast paced office. PROPERTY MANAGER FOR THE RENTAL ASSISTANCE DEMONSTRATION (RAD) DEPARTMENT. Under the direction of the Asset Management Director the Property Manager is responsible for working with a team, including the Operations Manager, Office Assistant, maintenance staff, central office staff, vendors and others to manage assigned RAD properties. AHA's RAD housing plan includes maximizing occupancy levels, collections, maintenance, resident relations, enforcing contracts/leases and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five (5) years of experience in residential property management, affordable housing programs or a community/social service agency/programs
  • One (1) year experience in supervising in a management or an administrative capacity
  • Active/valid NM driver's license
  • Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures and federal documents
  • Ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, contractors, supervisors, co-workers, residents, and city/county agencies
  • Driving and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration or social services
  • Affordable housing certifications
  • Low Income Housing Tax Credit and/or Project Based Rental Assistance experience
  • YARDI experience
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
