About The Position

The YWCA Greater Cleveland is seeking a Property Manager of Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) to manage affordable housing communities at Independence Place on Prospect and Cogswell Hall on Franklin. This role involves more than traditional property management; it focuses on creating safe, stable, and welcoming housing environments and building positive relationships with tenants, service providers, community partners, and staff. The ideal candidate is an organized, compassionate professional who understands the importance of housing stability for individual thriving.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of related work experience.
  • Experience in nonprofit, social services, affordable housing, or property management.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently, making sound decisions, resolving conflicts, and working with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • A valid Ohio driver's license, good driving record, proof of insurance, and reliable personal vehicle are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working with the population served.
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Yardi, or OnBase is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the tenant application, leasing, move-in, and move-out processes.
  • Maintain compliance with HUD, LIHTC, ADAMHS, OHFA, HOME, HOPWA, and other housing program requirements.
  • Maintain accurate tenant records, rent rolls, re-certifications, vouchers, and required reports.
  • Monitor rent payments and lease compliance and work with tenants and service providers to address concerns and support housing stability.
  • Conduct regular property and unit inspections and coordinate follow-up on maintenance, housekeeping, and safety concerns.
  • Supervise the PSH Coordinator and housekeeping staff or contractors.
  • Work closely with supportive services, maintenance, legal counsel, and community partners to resolve tenant and property concerns.
  • Respond professionally to tenant questions, concerns, and challenging situations.
  • Support approved tenant notices, repayment agreements, terminations, and eviction processes.
  • Help maintain a safe, respectful, trauma-informed environment where tenants are treated with dignity and respect.
