Gray Residential manages multifamily communities across the Midwest and is building custom tools, including AI workflows, automation, internal applications, and data pipelines, to provide their centralized leasing, collections, and property management teams with a competitive edge. This new role, Property Management Technologist, will own the operational tech stack for these centralized teams, acting as a bridge between software developers and end-users. The position sits at the intersection of software, operations, and training, focusing on ensuring the effective adoption and utilization of technology. The role involves several key streams of work: Implementation of new tools (AI leasing assistants, collections automation, dashboards) including configuration, integration with RealPage and other systems, and setup. Training and enablement of the centralized leasing and collections teams, as well as site-level managers, through various methods like live sessions, documentation, and video walkthroughs, with adoption as a key metric. Tuning and iteration of tools, particularly AI, by monitoring performance, gathering feedback, refining configurations, and communicating needs for structural changes to the development team. Stakeholder translation, involving understanding operational challenges from users and translating them into actionable feedback for developers, as well as communicating technological possibilities and limitations to operations leadership. The Property Management Technologist will report to senior property management leadership and collaborate closely with the Internal Software Developer, Director of Centralized Leasing & Collections, and regional/site PM leadership.
