About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our properties are well-maintained and that residents’ needs are addressed promptly and professionally. Your ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and communicate effectively will contribute to the overall success of the property.

Requirements

  • Understanding of residential construction, home/apartment remodeling, and basic plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Experience in carpentry, painting, drywall, and time management.
  • Ability to provide accurate quotes and complete work on time and within budget.
  • Own personal tools and reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
  • Adaptable, dependable, detail-oriented, and an excellent problem solver.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, climb ladders, work overhead, and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window and door repairs, and ceramic tile repair.
  • Assist with vinyl floor, cove, and wall base installation.
  • Handle minor electrical, plumbing, appliance, and heating/air issues that do not require a license.
  • Perform painting and other repairs as needed.
  • Assist with daily operations such as work orders, apartment turnovers, and inspections.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls, including on-call shifts as required.
  • Execute assigned preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and functionality of the property.
  • Work closely with the property manager and foster positive relationships with residents, vendors, contractors, inspectors, and staff.
  • Provide timely updates and communicate clearly on work orders and maintenance tasks.
