About The Position

We’re looking for a dedicated Property Maintenance Technician to join our team and help create an exceptional living environment for our tenants. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining our community’s buildings, equipment, and grounds while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and providing outstanding service to tenants and staff. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of maintenance experience involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical documents, and work orders
  • Experience safely using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and electric meters
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to participate in a 24-hour on-call maintenance rotation

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of fire, safety, and building code regulations
  • Experience working in a healthcare, senior living, assisted living, or residential community setting

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance systems
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire protection, security, and life-safety systems
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and building codes
  • Monitor and maintain domestic hot water, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Prepare apartments/rooms for move-ins and move-outs, including repairs, painting, and furniture relocation
  • Maintain community vehicles and equipment
  • Assist with grounds maintenance and ensure common areas remain clean, safe, and attractive
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance, emergency, and disaster preparedness supplies
  • Document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs accurately
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide emergency maintenance support
  • Support staff training related to building systems, fire safety, and emergency procedures
