About The Position

As a Property Maintenance Technician II at Pathfinder, you'll play an essential role in keeping our homes, facilities, grounds, and vehicles safe, functional, and welcoming. Through preventative maintenance, repairs, and hands-on problem solving, you'll help create environments where the people we support and our employees can thrive every day.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Basic verbal, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work alongside people with disabilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule if needed.
  • Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and safe driving record.
  • Practical knowledge of building maintenance and construction.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Experience performing maintenance in residential and/or commercial buildings preferred.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, grounds maintenance, drywall repair, carpentry, and general building maintenance preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of fleet maintenance or vehicle systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance on residential homes, commercial properties, and organizational facilities.
  • Perform repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, carpentry, appliances, and general building systems within applicable codes and safety standards.
  • Maintain the appearance and functionality of buildings, grounds, landscaping, and outdoor areas.
  • Identify maintenance concerns and recommend repairs to help prevent larger issues.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate quality workmanship while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Document completed work, payroll time, and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
  • Troubleshoot building systems and equipment to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Assist with maintenance and minor repairs of Pathfinder fleet vehicles and facility equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs to help ensure safe, reliable operations.
  • Participate in the department's on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies when scheduled.
  • Follow organizational safety policies and applicable building codes.
  • Assist in monitoring the work of outside contractors to ensure projects meet Pathfinder's quality standards.
  • Help maintain safe, accessible environments for the individuals we support, employees, and visitors.
  • Build positive working relationships with individuals supported, coworkers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Work independently while collaborating with the maintenance team to meet organizational priorities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities to expand your skills.
