About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Property Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role involves performing general maintenance and repairs across three properties, ensuring they are well-maintained and ready for residents. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently. This is a 1099 independent contractor position offering flexible scheduling and consistent, year-round work.

Requirements

Prior experience in handyman/maintenance work.
Self-starter attitude; ability to work independently without constant supervision.
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for small issues.
Dependable and consistent in job follow-through.
Comfortable working outdoors in Texas heat, on your feet for extended periods, and lifting/operating equipment.
Ability to move between three properties.
Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and general repair work.
Respectful, patient, and friendly demeanor, especially when interacting with senior residents.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must pass a pre-employment background check.
Comfortable working as an independent contractor (1099), managing own tools and schedule.

Responsibilities

Handle basic repairs such as drywall, paint touch-ups, fixtures, and doors.
Perform light plumbing and electrical fixes within a non-licensed scope.
Conduct preventative maintenance checks across all properties.
Assist with minor equipment and appliance issues.
Turn over rooms within a 2-day window when a resident moves out, including patching holes, touching up paint, and preparing rooms for the next occupant.
