About The Position

You’ll be employed as a travelling Property Inspector in New Brunswick, covering the Fredericton, Saint John, and Moncton regions. You’ll work remotely for Promutuel Insurance East-Coast. In this role, you’ll be responsible for collecting the data and information required for risk analysis, ensuring they meet the expected quality standards.

Requirements

  • Training in fire prevention techniques, building inspection, or other relevant fields
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential or commercial inspections
  • Bilingual (English/French – mandatory)
  • A vehicle and a valid driver’s licence in the province where you reside
  • Strong client‑focused approach
  • High adaptability and desire to learn
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments and visit residential and commercial properties to assess risks related to fire, hazardous activities, and third‑party liability.
  • Inspect sites and take photographs, documenting building characteristics as well as heating and electrical systems, and verifying what is in place to keep occupants and the public safe from fire.
  • Act as an advisor by explaining preventive measures clients can take and by making recommendations.
  • Write reports and submit requests for corrective actions.
  • Provide remote prevention support based on photos submitted by clients or colleagues.
  • Act as an advisor to risk analysts within the mutual network.
