About The Position

Lonestar is seeking a Property Damage (PD) Subrogation Specialist to handle and resolve auto property damage subrogation claims. The specialist owns files from start to finish, investigating liability and negotiating recoveries with third-party insurance carriers, attorneys, and uninsured motorists. The role requires resolving claims in accordance with company objectives, policy contracts, corporate claims policies, and applicable state regulations. This is an in-office position.

Requirements

• At least 2–3 years of auto insurance company subrogation experience.
• At least 8–10 years of non-standard auto carrier experience.
• Knowledge of liability law.
• Good interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed claims adjuster.
• Ability to work on an online computer-based claims system.

Responsibilities

• Review evidence supporting property damage subrogation activity in accordance with the policy contract, corporate claims policy, and state regulations.
• Contact appropriate parties, insurance carriers, and attorneys to negotiate settlements in compliance with company objectives and applicable state regulations.
• Evaluate counterclaims and review them with Claims management.
• Review settlement offers with Claims management to ensure compliance with company objectives and applicable state regulations.
• Achieve and maintain company goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
