About The Position

Ensure the accuracy, accountability, and compliance of the University’s physical assets (equipment, furniture, technology) by conducting physical inventories, reconciling records, and auditing disposal processes. Investigate discrepancies, update asset management systems, and maintain compliance with university, state, and federal policies. Manages physical inventory by conducting on-site audits, checks, and physical counts of property to verify existence and condition. Reconciles physical inventory with electronic records, ensuring data in the inventory system is current and accurate. Identifies, marks, and tags new assets, including computer equipment and machinery. Ensures compliance with state, federal, and university property management policies. Assists with the documentation and processing of surplus, salvaged, or transferred property. Investigates missing or stolen items and prepares reports for management regarding audit findings. Works with departments to ensure property updates are communicated and resolved.

Requirements

  • High School (Required)
  • Relevant experience | 4 Years | Required
  • An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.
