About The Position

The Property Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the property/inventory control functions. This role involves ordering, receiving, and distributing center equipment and supplies, as well as maintaining accurate records in accordance with center and DOL regulations. The Property Clerk also arranges for the disposition of excess materials and monitors the procurement of supplies and equipment from various vendors. Additionally, the position requires monitoring the maintenance of accurate records on the physical location of all center property and attending required staff training sessions. This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) Position with an hourly rate of $17.20.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
  • Sound working knowledge of property/inventory control procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience in property/inventory control preferred.
  • Valid State driver’s license in the state of employment with acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Knowledge of Government property management requirements and procedures desired.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the property/inventory control functions.
  • Ensuring that center equipment and supplies are ordered, received, and distributed.
  • Posting and maintaining shipping, receiving, inventory records and documents in accordance with center and DOL regulations.
  • Arranging for disposition of excess materials in accordance with procedures as stated in the Property Handbook.
  • Monitoring the procurement of supplies, materials and equipment for General Services Administration, self-service store, and other vendors.
  • Monitoring maintenance of accurate records on the physical location of all center property.
  • Attending required staff training sessions.
