About The Position

The Property Clerk reports to the Property Supervisor and is an hourly, non-exempt position. The Property Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the property/inventory control functions. Ensures that center equipment and supplies are ordered, received, and distributed. The Property Clerk posts and maintains shipping, receiving, inventory records and documents in accordance with center and DOL regulations. Arranges for disposition of excess materials in accordance with procedures as stated in the Property Handbook. Monitors the procurement of supplies, materials and equipment for General Services Administration, self-service store, and other vendors. Monitors maintenance of accurate records on the physical location of all center property. Attends required staff training sessions.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in property/inventory control preferred.
  • Valid State driver’s license in the state of employment with acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
  • Sound working knowledge of property/inventory control procedures.
  • Knowledge of Government property management requirements and procedures desired.
