About The Position

Assists in receiving, stocking, shipping, and maintaining inventory of all center supplies and equipment. This role involves supporting students in their adjustment to Center life, ensuring their needs are met professionally and promptly, and adhering to all company policies and procedures. The position requires meticulous record-keeping, inventory management, and vendor communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Six months experience in a property/inventory control capacity.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
  • Sound working knowledge of property/inventory control procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer.
  • Ability to learn company software systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates’ degree.
  • Two years’ experience in related field.
  • Knowledge of Government property management requirements and procedures.

  • Assist students in adjusting to Center life to enhance student retention by providing supervision, behavior modification, counseling, and by acting as a positive role model and mentor.
  • Ensure student needs are met in a timely professional manner with the highest degree of customer service.
  • Adhere to all PRH and CSDC policies and procedures, and the Center Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare reports and forms and document in CIS case notes observations of student’s behavior, performance, notable information or events, and progress towards achieving goals and objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality but report significant events or situations immediately through approved channels to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff.
  • Facilitate prompt and appropriate assistance to students in the event of injury, illness, or emotional trauma.
  • Meet individually with assigned students at a minimum of once each month, documenting meetings in case notes.
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties.
  • Assist in inventory control and accountability functions.
  • Verify all incoming supplies and materials.
  • Issue inventory items as specified by center procedures.
  • Post and maintain records which may require follow-up.
  • Monitor inventory levels of consumable materials, except foodstuffs.
  • Prepare appropriate purchase requisitions for approval.
  • Place routine Blanket Purchase Agreements with local vendors and GSA sources.
  • Contact vendors regarding delivery dates, pricing updates, and availability of products under the direction of the Purchasing Agent.
  • Contact vendors regarding routine problems related to variances in product orders to products received.
  • Prepare modifications to purchase orders.
  • Type completed purchase orders in prescribed format and process same.
  • Review balances on Blanket Purchase Agreements daily to ensure charges do not exceed terms of agreement.
  • Proofread and correct grammatical, numerical punctuation, and spelling errors.
  • Maintain computer listing of vendors and record all purchases.
  • Attend staff training sessions as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
