About The Position

Appraises (physically inspects, measures, determine grade, condition and photographs) assigned real property jurisdictions, including agricultural, residential, commercial, industrial, seasonal-recreational and personal property to determine full market and assessed valuation. Reviews building permits, meets with general public and property owners to inform or address issues relating to specific valuations and attends meetings/hearings. Use of computerized systems for related data entry and basic office functions.

Requirements

• H.S. diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to obtain a Certified Minnesota Assessor License (CMA) designation within three years of date of hire.
• Ability to obtain an Accredited Minnesota Assessor License (AMA) five years following the receipt of CMA license.

Nice To Haves

• Training and experience in real estate appraisal and assessment helpful but not required.
