About The Position

Under general supervision, receives, secures, safeguards, and preserves all incoming property and evidence to the Police Department; ensures the safety and careful handling of evidence; maintains and updates records detailing the location or disposition of all property and evidence received; releases and disposes of evidence and property in compliance with applicable laws, codes, and regulations; and performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade
  • One (1) year of responsible records management experience preferably in a law enforcement environment
  • Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record to be maintained throughout employment
