You will investigate claims by interviewing claimants and witnesses, obtaining official reports, inspecting physical damage, and comparing claim information with evidence. Responsibilities include setting loss reserves, preparing reports, and settling claims by determining insurance carrier's liability, client's instructions, and authority levels. You will also control claims costs, maintain company reputation by complying with regulations, recommend litigation when appropriate, present evidence at legal proceedings, and maintain an expected caseload. Continuous learning and product supervision are also part of the role, along with conducting roof inspections as needed and upholding the Crawford Code of Business Conduct. Special projects or duties in other areas may be requested.
