About The Position

This is an onsite role at ReNew Tallahassee, where the Property Accounting Specialist will be responsible for providing superior customer service, managing financial transactions, and adhering to company policies. The role involves entering purchase orders and invoices, communicating with vendors, processing collections, managing past-due balances, and maintaining resident files. The specialist will also handle clerical and phone support, conduct move-out inspections, and manage account records. The position requires the ability to resolve resident complaints and direct issues to a supervisor, as well as perform additional tasks assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent is required
  • Accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions and use all on-site resident management software functions
  • Intermediate computer and Internet knowledge
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to address the needs of residents, prospects, and vendors
  • Handle high stress situations effectively

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer knowledge of the following software programs: Yardi, Entrata, Resident Check
  • Two years of experience in residential property management in the Multifamily Industry is preferred
  • Previous Bookkeeping experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service
  • Enter Purchase Orders and Invoices
  • Stay in communication with vendors about each transaction
  • Adhere to the Management Company's operating procedures and policies
  • Receive and process collections in accordance with company standards
  • Collect past due balances
  • Manage collections efforts from existing residents
  • Provide clerical and phone support
  • Maintain all resident files, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all paperwork and documentation
  • Demonstrate ability to resolve resident complaints and direct pertinent issues and matters to Supervisor
  • Conduct community member move-out apartment inspections and complete deposit accountings with Supervisors approval
  • Maintain all account records and transactions including NSF’s, rent allowances, concessions, rent increases, and other management approved debits and credits
  • Perform additional tasks or duties assigned by Supervisor
