About The Position

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a well-established commercial real estate organization to identify a Property Accounting & Lease Administrator to join its accounting team in Little Rock, AR. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position will oversee lease administration and related accounting functions across a portfolio of commercial properties. This role works closely with Property Managers and Assistant Property Managers and is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of multiple priorities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience
  • Ability to learn to read, interpret, and understand commercial lease agreements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Proactive, dependable, and comfortable working across accounting and property management functions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle confidential financial information

Nice To Haves

  • Property management, commercial real estate, or lease administration experience is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with Yardi or similar property management software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee lease administration for commercial properties, including reviewing lease briefs and abstracts against executed lease documents for accuracy
  • Set up new leases and amendments in Yardi, including recovery profiles, critical dates, rent escalations, and other lease information
  • Manage and track critical lease dates, including expirations, renewals/options, escalations, and terminations
  • Review and approve lease commission invoices
  • Process tenant move-outs and apply or transfer security deposits
  • Oversee and review annual Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations for managed properties
  • Process monthly rent escalations and maintain CPI information used in escalation calculations
  • Set up and post tenant promissory note charges included in leases and amendments
  • Assist with new property setup, including units and square footage
  • Collect and enter gross sales information from retail tenants
  • Maintain accurate and current tenant and lease contact information
  • Coordinate and track annual real estate tax payments
  • Ensure appropriate accounting procedures, internal controls, and audit requirements are followed
  • Partner closely with accounting and property management teams to ensure accurate information and responsive service
  • Assist with bank deposits, special projects, and additional accounting responsibilities as needed
