About The Position

Palmetto Propane, Fuels, and Ice is a family-owned provider of propane and fuel services across South Carolina, serving residential, commercial, and agricultural customers. The Propane and Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering propane and fuel safely and on time while providing excellent customer service. The role involves operating delivery trucks in compliance with applicable safety and transport regulations, maintaining equipment, and communicating with dispatch and management. The position includes an on-call rotation and may require overtime and assistance with disaster relief efforts.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform other physical tasks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfort using mobile devices and dispatch systems.
• Availability to work full-time hours, overtime, and assist with disaster relief efforts as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Manual transmission experience.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane and fuel to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers.
• Operate propane delivery trucks safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain clean and organized trucks and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Adhere to company safety guidelines and OSHA, DOT, and state and federal safety and transport regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and management.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work overtime and assist with disaster relief efforts as needed.
