About The Position

Palmetto Propane, Fuels, and Ice is a family-owned provider of propane and fuel services across South Carolina, serving residential, commercial, and agricultural customers. The Propane and Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane and fuel products. The role involves physical work in a fast-paced environment and requires a strong focus on safety and customer service. Drivers operate propane delivery trucks, communicate with dispatch and management, and participate in an on-call rotation. Full-time hours, overtime, and assistance with disaster relief efforts may be required as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and perform other physical tasks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfort using mobile devices and dispatch systems.
• Availability to work full-time hours, overtime, and assist with disaster relief efforts as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Manual transmission experience.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane and fuel to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers.
• Operate propane delivery trucks safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Keep trucks and equipment clean and organized.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Follow company safety guidelines and applicable OSHA, DOT, state, and federal safety and transport regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and management.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
