Seasonal Propane Delivery Driver
About The Position
The Propane Delivery Driver safely operates a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations and works to meet delivery objectives established by the local District Manager. The role requires a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward safety, sales, customer service, and teamwork, along with the ability to make deliveries in a variety of weather and driving conditions. This seasonal position runs approximately six months each year, from October through March. Overtime is possible during the heating season. The position is based at the Pocomoke Office in Pocomoke, Maryland. Work takes place in the field, including entering customers’ homes and businesses. The employee may work in hot attics or cold locations and may occasionally encounter cramped spaces, fumes, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and extreme weather conditions. Employees must be capable of frequently lifting 50 pounds. Seasonal employees are eligible for 401(k) participation opportunities and paid sick leave.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
- Minimum of two years holding a CDL license.
- Air brakes endorsement required.
- Pass a pre-employment DOT physical, drug test, and Homeland Security Background Check.
- Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from the plant manager.
- Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with existing and potential customers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather and driving conditions.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude toward safety, sales, customer service, and employee teamwork.
- Dependability and desire to succeed and advance in a team environment.

- Prior gas delivery experience is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Meet delivery objectives established by the local District Manager.

- Inspect the vehicle daily and report problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.

- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude while working in customers’ homes or businesses.
- Work outdoors in varied weather and driving conditions.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work outside the basic job description and take direction from the plant manager.
