About The Position

Lakes Gas is hiring a seasonal Propane Delivery Driver for local routes, with drivers home every night. The role involves delivering propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first-class customer service. Additional duties include maintaining company and customer equipment and performing plant maintenance activities. The position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and typically runs from November through April.

Requirements

Valid Class A or B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, or the ability to obtain the required endorsements, and without air-brake restrictions.
Clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report.
Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card.
Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in English.
Ability to comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Safety-conscious and customer-service-oriented approach.
Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets.
Complete DOT Hazmat training and maintenance every three years.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, pull a delivery hose, and bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed.

Responsibilities

Deliver propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites.
Provide first-class customer service.
Maintain and upkeep company and customer equipment.
Perform plant maintenance activities.
Inspect the vehicle and notify a supervisor about needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
Fill, load, secure, and deliver propane cylinders or bulk propane.
Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation requirements, including recurring Hazmat training and maintenance.
