Job purpose Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in planning and implementing all of the property’s promotions and special events. Duties and responsibilities Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) Rules and Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Company and departmental policies and procedures. Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the IGB Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of this ICS. Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees. Ensure operational success of event and execution within gaming regulations. Assist in Planning, producing, and maintaining an on-going schedule of promotions. Assist in developing themes, format, and rules for specific promotions. Assist in coordinating all décor requirements for promotions and special events. Communicate all events information to operating departments to ensure timely coordination of all promotions and special events. Determine staffing needs and work schedules necessary to implement promotions and special events. Maintain awareness of changes in the marketplace that may impact the nature of promotions planned at the Golden Nugget Casino and Hotel. Works closely with and assisting the other divisions of the Marketing department (Advertising, Player Development, and Direct Mail) with various projects and initiatives. Assists with handling all guest complaint forms, letters, situations, and phone calls. Assist soliciting customer service and facility improvements from employees and guests and forwarding accordingly. Assist with monitoring all promotional signage and ensuring changeover when appropriate. Participating in Marketing meetings. Safeguard the confidential information of all employee, department, and company records. Promote positive public/employee relations at all times. Perform any duties on or off-site involving guest services and quality control including, but not limited to, special events, guest giveaways, crowd control, property cleanliness, and other hospitality functions as needed. Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations. Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations. Performs other duties as assigned.
