About The Position

Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Mentos, Airheads, Dentyne, Trident and Bubblicious!) is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide. We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Promotions Manager to join our growing team. The Promotions Manager, as part of the Commercial Excellence department, is responsible for developing promotional strategies in support of brand objectives. The role is expected to recommend promotional retail prices and trade funding guidelines by channel and promoted product group, as well as determine the most efficient promotional mechanics across price, visibility, and communication. This role blends analytical rigor with strategic influence—ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, storytelling, and commercial impact. It requires close collaboration with Sales, Customer Planning, and Finance to ensure investments align with broader business goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field
5+ years of relevant work experience with progressive responsibility, or 2+ years in revenue growth management or promotion optimization
Advanced proficiency in analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and manage constructive conflict with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Business, Analytics, or Finance, or 3+ years of equivalent experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or consulting
Experience with TPx solutions, syndicated/POS data, baseline and constraints modeling, scenario planning, and portfolio optimization
Prior experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)
Solid understanding of retailer and FMCG manufacturer financials

Responsibilities

Manage and mentor a team to deliver best-in-class promotional analytics
Develop, implement, and monitor customer performance against promotional guidelines
Lead the sales organization in best-in-class pre- and post-event promotional analysis, identifying insights on discount depth, duration, and mechanics to optimize and influence guidelines
Ensure data quality (accuracy, completeness, coverage) and integrity of baseline and incrementality metrics
Use data visualizations to deliver insights to the sales organization and customers
Partner closely with Customer Planning, Sales, and Finance to guide investments in line with strategic intent
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of how promotional spend fits within the broader trade terms portfolio
Serve as a thought leader in crafting selling stories to implement promotional changes over tim
Present insights and results to the Sales Leadership Team on a quarterly basis
Ensure governance of customer account plans to maintain adherence to budgeted investment rates
Recommend tailored promotional strategies by product group, accounting for item profitability
Available for minimal travel as needed (less than 5%)
