Arcadis is seeking a Project Water Engineer to evaluate, plan, design, and support the management of stormwater and resiliency projects. This role involves drainage planning, green infrastructure design, and flood mitigation systems. The engineer will exercise judgment in technical details, make preliminary selections of engineering alternatives, and complete technical analyses and report writing with guidance from senior team members. Fieldwork includes site visits, construction observation, sampling, water quality analyses, asset inventory, and flow monitoring. Support for professional engineering services during construction involves reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and permit closeouts. The role requires managing tasks as a project resource to meet budget, timeframe, and quality objectives, while exceeding client expectations. Responsibilities include conducting investigations and analyses, preparing documentation and reports adhering to Arcadis requirements and national standards, liaising with project managers and clients, resolving technical issues, providing technical guidance to team members, and collaborating with other design disciplines. A key aspect is reviewing completed engineering work for compliance with standards and developing a deeper understanding of Arcadis' services, client businesses, and the industry sector.
