About The Position

L.A. Stevens & Associates, Inc. is a well-established professional Land Surveying firm located in Novato, Marin County, California, with nearly thirty years of experience throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We are seeking a California Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS / Survey Party Chief) interested in working as a Project Surveyor. While California licensure is preferable, we will consider licensed surveyors wishing to relocate to California and obtain licensure. This role involves research, field, and office work, requiring professionalism, a responsible and ambitious work ethic, and the ability to lead. The Project Surveyor will work closely with the Principal Land Surveyor. Our firm's work encompasses a wide range of services including simple and complex boundaries, land title surveys (ALTA), topographic mapping, least squares adjustments, monitoring, forensic surveys, GPS, Elevation Certificates, map preparation, legal descriptions, and construction staking.

Requirements

Must be able to lift loads of 40+ pounds.
Must be able to work in and around poison oak.
Must have a clean driving record as reported by the Department of Motor Vehicles of the State in which the applicant’s driver’s license is issued.
Proficient and demonstrate skill in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Proficient and demonstrate skill in MS Office Suite.
Proficient and demonstrate skill in Written and Verbal Communication.
Hearing and speech skills to effectively communicate in English in person and over the telephone or two-way radio.

Nice To Haves

California licensure is preferable.
Licensed surveyors wishing to relocate to California and obtain California licensure will be considered.
