About The Position

K&A Power Group is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Support Specialist to join their team in Melville, New York. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects within the energy and utility sectors as part of a dynamic, people-focused team where contributions are valued. The position is hybrid, based in Melville, NY, with specific days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Requirements

• A four-year college degree is preferred, majoring in Business Administration or a related field.
• 6 years of experience performing this specific job function.
• Requires some managerial oversight/direction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrable quantitative and analytical skills.
• Previous experience utilizing basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
• Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with stakeholders positively and collaboratively.
• Demonstrate a high level of skill in Microsoft Excel.
• Must reside in Long Island or Queens County.

Nice To Haves

• Utility background is preferred.
• Microsoft Project experience is a plus.
• Prior work on a federally funded project is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight of the material reconciliation process.
• Provide project-based assistance and support to the FEMA Team.
• Anticipate upcoming responsibilities or needs and use initiative appropriately.
• Utilize SAP to record data, update new/current information, update work orders, and track schedules, exporting data into Excel.
