About The Position

The Project Technician is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of cloud and on-premise infrastructure projects across client environments. This role plays a critical part in delivering scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions, including Microsoft cloud platforms, networking, and security-focused initiatives. This individual will work closely with project leadership and engineering teams to execute projects such as Microsoft 365 migrations, Azure/Entra ID implementations, network deployments, VLAN configurations, and security enhancements , ensuring successful delivery and a high-quality client experience.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of: Networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, WAN/LAN), Network security principles and firewall configurations
  • Experience with: Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint), Azure / Entra ID, Windows Server environments, Backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Familiarity with: Remote access technologies (VPN, RDP, etc.), VOIP systems and mobile device management
  • Ability to design and implement business-grade IT solutions and network architectures
  • Strong ability to: Multi-task and manage competing priorities, Adapt quickly in fast-paced environments, Troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and execution of cloud and on-premise solutions across client environments
  • Support project delivery for: Microsoft 365 migrations (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint), Azure AD / Entra ID implementations, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, Backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to build and execute detailed project plans
  • Research and apply best practices for implementation, scalability, and security
  • Design and configure LAN/WAN environments , including: VLANs and network segmentation, Routing and switching, Firewall configuration and access control policies
  • Implement and support secure network architectures aligned to business requirements
  • Troubleshoot complex network and server-related issues
  • Support secure remote access, VPNs, and mobile device connectivity
  • Deploy and manage: Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint), Entra ID / identity and access management, Endpoint and mobile device management solutions
  • Support Windows environments, server infrastructure, and hybrid cloud integrations
  • Assist in cloud security implementations and policy enforcement
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding: Project timelines, Progress updates, Scheduled changes or outages
  • Provide white-glove support during project execution and transitions
  • Assist in developing business cases and recommending technology solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and security
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced server, network, and cloud issues
  • Provide escalation support to both proactive (project) and reactive (service desk) teams
  • Document issues, solutions, and configurations in detail
  • Deliver internal knowledge sharing and training on implemented solutions
  • Work with third-party vendors and partners to resolve issues and deploy solutions
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance client environments
