About The Position

The Concourse Group is seeking entry-level candidates to support projects for public sector clients. This is a blanket job posting covering multiple positions, and not all listed tasks will be required for every hire. The role is hybrid, requiring candidates to reside in or near the National Capital or Baltimore, Maryland Regions due to mandatory meetings at the corporate office in Columbia, MD. The position demands strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), a capacity for rapid learning, and high standards for growth and work quality. While specific task training will be provided, the ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, the ability to follow sequential instructions, and a willingness to ask questions. This role also requires significant multitasking, time management, and decision-making abilities.

Requirements

  • Skills in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Skills with Adobe Standard and/or Pro.
  • Skilled with attention to detail and employing methods of quality control in work product.
  • Ability to effectively manage communications and coordinate tasks in a hybrid setting where participants are in geographically diverse regions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a wide scope of tasking.
  • Ability to solve problems using critical thinking.
  • Ability to assemble, communicate and present information clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to analyze social nuances in a project management setting involving multiple parties from multiple organizations.
  • Ability to understand customer problems, quickly learn new tools and technologies, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to solve problems using a detailed and well-ordered approach.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and independently with structured guidelines.
  • High school diploma AND five (5) years of consecutive experience in a professional government or office environment.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College AND one (1) year of experience in a professional government or office environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must live local to the National Capital Region, including the Baltimore and Columbia regions

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in the areas of real estate, data management, public policy, emergency management, sociology, criminology, political science, business administration or another related field.
  • Experience with a federal agency or for a federal contractor where you supported federal projects.

Responsibilities

  • Performing assigned research in various project specific topic areas (policy, economics, etc.)
  • Performing data entry and entry level data analysis.
  • Providing action tracking to support a project manager, organization of deliverables and documents in both an MS Teams and SharePoint environment, and overall workflow process management support.
  • Creation of project specific templates in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or MS Forms.
  • Creating, moderating and managing attendees for a variety of virtual meeting platforms such as MS Teams or Webex.
  • Supporting physical meetings by securing/setting up meeting space, setting up necessary audio-visual equipment, printing handouts, name badges, table tents, etc.
  • Analyzing data from a designated number of sites, ensuring any variances are identified, investigated, and corrected.
  • Preparing written project reports including meeting minutes, weekly status reports, data summaries and other reports as directed.
  • Editing written documents such as reports, manuals, standard operating procedures, training guides, etc.
  • Supporting project travel by booking and planning all travel within various federal, state or local travel systems.
  • Attending project, company, and team meetings both in person and virtually.
  • Providing support to multiple projects at once involving a high level of organization and time management.
  • Exercising quality control measures on your own work and utilizing support from more senior staff.
