About The Position

We are seeking a Project Supervisor, People Technology to join our Firm. This position will be based in our New York office (hybrid). The Project Supervisor, People Technology is responsible for owning the end-to-end project management and configuration, enhancement, and optimization of Workday and other People Technology tools across key modules, including Workday HCM, Recruiting, Performance and Learning. This role translates business requirements into scalable and efficient system solutions, leads the build, testing, and deployment of new functionality, and drives process optimization through automation and improved operational efficiency. The Project Supervisor, People Technology serves as a critical cross-functional partner, collaborating across the People Team spanning People Strategy, Talent Acquisition, People Development, and People Operations to execute on People Technology priorities. This role acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, this individual provides guidance and recommendations grounded in system capability and best practices. This role also supports large-scale transformation and growth initiatives, including new system implementations and process transformations that scale systems and processes to support rapid organizational growth. This role requires strong experience with business process design, integrations, and data/reporting, along with a proven ability to own and execute complex projects independently. A builder mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to balance speed with thoughtful system design and scalability are essential. The Project Supervisor proactively identifies opportunities to enhance the HR tech ecosystem, including through AI, automation, and emerging technologies, while ensuring strong data integrity, system governance, and compliance across all solutions delivered.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of Core HR and Performance Management processes.
  • Working knowledge of Project Management Software such as MS Project, Asana, Smartsheets.
  • Solid HR Acumen particularly in People Operations, Performance and Learning required.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with configuring Enterprise HCM solutions such as Workday, PeopleSoft, Cornerstone, UKG in configuration and process optimization.
  • Strong experience with business process design, integrations, and data/reporting
  • Proven ability to own and execute complex projects independently
  • Knowledge in HR transformation / changing environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a builder mindset
  • Ability to balance speed with thoughtful system design and scalability
  • Keeps current on industry best practices, trends and techniques.
  • Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment especially in dealing with confidential data
  • Current knowledge of industry best practices, trends and techniques
  • Knowledge of relevant Firm software programs, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, planning, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to administer Firm policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use discretion and exercise independent, sound judgment, particularly when handling confidential or sensitive matters.
  • Ability to effectively supervise others, delegate work, and manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.

  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work as necessary to meet operating and business needs.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum six (6) years of in HR Technology, HRIS, or People Systems

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day support, configuration, and continuous improvement of the firm’s Workday Core, Performance, Recruiting, Learning modules and other People Technology Tools.
  • Own and perform end-to-end configuration, enhancement, and optimization of processes
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient system solutions
  • Lead the build, testing, and deployment of new functionality and enhancements
  • Proactively identify process bottlenecks and ways to streamline using technology.
  • Project manage medium-large scale projects using best practices in project management.
  • Facilitate process mapping sessions with key stakeholders and document processes using Visio, Lucidchart or other process mapping tool.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual process(es) and improve operational efficiency
  • Design and optimize business processes with a focus on scalability, compliance, and user experience
  • Apply knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI to streamline processes
  • Ensure strong data integrity, validation, and system governance
  • Partner with COE teams (People Strategy, Talent Acquisition, People Development, People Operations) to support and execute on People Technology priorities
  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Provide guidance and recommendations grounded in system capability and best practices
  • Support large-scale initiatives including new system implementations, and process transformations
  • Play a critical role in scaling systems and processes to support rapid organizational growth
  • Proactively bring forward ideas to enhance the People technology ecosystem, including AI, automation, and emerging technologies
  • Recommend practical and ethnical usage for AI to improve the employee and candidate experience.
  • Evaluate current processes and tools to identify opportunities for improvement and cost optimization
  • Recommends and implements changes and improvements in methods and procedures to higher level management.
  • Coordinates and oversees department projects, day-to-day operations and long-range plans.
  • Recommends guidelines and practices to promote efficiency, effectiveness, excellent customer service and improved employee relations, in alignment with the Firm's Core Values.
  • Develops and communicates departmental guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensures accurate and timely responses to requests for departmental services.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
  • Manages Firm resources responsibly.
  • Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
