About The Position

Flex is seeking a Project Specialist to manage projects of low to medium complexity, focusing on achieving key performance indicators such as cost, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong analytical, financial management, and problem-solving skills for successful project execution from initiation to completion. If the intended spin of Flex's Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new company, Axiom, occurs in Q1 2027, this role will support Axiom, which focuses on digital infrastructure and power/thermal management solutions for AI data centers and mission-critical applications.

Requirements

Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related project management, project coordination, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrates advanced functional, technical, and people and/or process management skills, as well as strong internal and external customer relationship management skills.
Demonstrated project analysis skills, including the ability to assess project performance, identify risks, evaluate data, and drive effective solutions.
Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions.
Strong financial management experience, including project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, financial reporting, and cost control.
Ability to read, investigate, and interpret complex documents; respond effectively to inquiries or complaints; and develop presentations, reports, and communications for multiple audiences.
Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret complex technical instructions.
Impacts the immediate to medium-term direction and operational success of the function.
Executes and provides input to functional plans, objectives, processes, technologies, and site initiatives.
Demonstrates the capability to lead major initiatives that impact business performance and project outcomes.
Normally receives little to no instruction in day-to-day responsibilities and may direct the work of others.

Nice To Haves

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other recognized Project Management certification preferred.
Experience leading cross-functional projects within a manufacturing, operations, or technical environment preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Help establish project schedules, financial parameters, and technical requirements, managing projects from initiation through transfer.
Review and communicate customer requirements, specifications, project schedules, and budget constraints to cross-functional teams.
Review daily production schedules and identify potential problem areas, risks, and project impacts.
Assess causes of problems, perform root cause analysis, and provide technical support and direction to project teams to resolve issues effectively.
Develop status reports, including project financials, ensuring project teams meet customer requirements, maintain cost control, and support overall financial management objectives.
Perform project analysis to identify trends, risks, resource needs, and opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Create and maintain project plans, documentation, procedures, and project deliverables.
Conduct presentations concerning specific projects, schedules, performance metrics, and project outcomes.
Assist in the management of larger projects and programs.
Interact frequently with customers and functional peer group managers.
May interact with senior management and regularly work with middle management and individual contributor groups.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by implementing corrective and preventive actions based on project findings and root cause analysis.
