About The Position

The Project Specialist in Finance Quality Assurance is responsible for assisting with the identification, development, implementation and coordination of programs to improve financial work practices, processes, compliance, controls and management of emerging risks. The Project Specialist provides independent assurance that Finances procedures, specifications, controls and processes are appropriate and optimal to ensure excellence in the financial work that the organization performs. The Project Specialist will support quality assurance reviews and assessments to improve work practices, processes and controls. This will also involve review of historical trends and the support of the implementation of process improvements and identified corrective actions. The Quality Management program will help ensure compliance with Company procedures, specifications, controls, GAPs, and Federal, State and local requirements. The Project Specialist will help develop and monitor key performance and risk indicators that will assist Finance with defining and measuring progress towards organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Supporting quality assurance reviews and assessments to improve work practices, processes and controls.
  • Review of historical trends and the support of the implementation of process improvements and identified corrective actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with Company procedures, specifications, controls, GAPs, and Federal, State and local requirements.
  • Developing and monitoring key performance and risk indicators that will assist Finance with defining and measuring progress towards organizational goals.
