About The Position

The Project Site Coordinator is a site-based role that supports the delivery of medium- to large-scale institutional decarbonization and energy retrofit projects ($5M–$100M). Reporting into the project delivery team, this role assists with day-to-day construction coordination, documentation, site activities, and communication to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Project Site Coordinator works closely with and is supported by experienced Construction Managers, Project Managers, and Engineering Technical Specialists. This role is well suited for candidates looking to grow their career in construction, energy, or infrastructure projects, with hands-on exposure to healthcare and institutional retrofit work. The Project Site Coordinator acts as a key on-site representative for Blackstone, helping ensure project management best practices, documentation standards, and health & safety requirements are followed while supporting positive client and contractor relationships.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Systems, Controls, Construction Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Entry-level experience (co-op, internship, or 1–3 years) in construction, building systems, energy, or infrastructure projects considered an asset
  • Exposure to mechanical, electrical, or controls systems in institutional or industrial environments is preferred
  • Experience with Procore construction management software is an asset
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a willingness to learn
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with construction documentation is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support on-site construction management activities for major industrial, healthcare, and higher education retrofit projects
  • Assist with coordination of on-site operations, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives under the direction of the Project Manager and Construction Manager
  • Provide administrative and coordination support during procurement activities, including tendering, document control, and contract administration
  • Assist with tracking project progress, schedules, and budgets, and help identify potential issues for escalation to the project team
  • Support safety, quality, and schedule compliance throughout the construction phase
  • Help coordinate scope changes, technical challenges, and cost impacts with guidance from senior project staff
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams from design through to construction completion
  • Support verification that on-site work aligns with project drawings, specifications, and applicable regulations
  • Assist with maintaining positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Support client satisfaction initiatives, including survey distribution, tracking, and follow-up documentation
  • Attend internal and external meetings, assist with meeting minutes, reporting, and presentation materials
  • Help coordinate and attend occasional after-hours or weekend construction activities (e.g., shutdowns, crane lifts, planned outages)
  • Support compliance with Blackstone, client, and legislative Health & Safety policies on assigned projects
  • Assist with maintaining accurate, up-to-date project documentation in line with Blackstone standards
  • Support project delivery in accordance with Blackstone’s internal processes and PMO requirements
  • Assist with proposal reviews, quote preparation, and general project documentation
  • Participate in continuous improvement of internal processes, tools, and documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Support interdepartmental and intercompany initiatives as required
