About The Position

Legrand has an opportunity for a Project Services Intern to join the Electrical Infrastructure Team in West Hartford, Connecticut. The intern will perform system design, system layout, and supporting component design using CAD software and custom applications. The internship is intended to run from May through August 2027. The role is an individual contributor position and interfaces internally with Project Managers and Manufacturing and externally with customers. It has no direct budgetary responsibilities.

Requirements

• SOLIDWORKS experience required.
• Good drafting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings, as well as bills of material and cut lists.
• Ability to read and understand specifications.
• Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Ability to work on a cross-functional team.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical or electrical coursework, or equivalent work experience.
• Three years of coursework with group design projects.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles, NEC code requirements, and UL.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manufacturing documentation using SOLIDWORKS applications.
• Provide technical support to internal customers.
• Perform system design, system layout, and supporting component design using CAD software and custom applications.
• Perform other similar and related duties as required.
