Project Scheduler — Pool Construction

Craft Master Custom Pools•West Palm Beach, FL
•$60,000 - $75,000•Onsite

About The Position

Craft Master Custom Pools has been building custom gunite pools in Southeast Florida since 1994 — more than 3,000 pools across Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Broward counties. This is a legacy company under new ownership, and we are writing our playbook one day at a time. The reputation and the craft are thirty years old; the systems around them are being built right now, by us, this year. Some of what you need in this role will not exist yet when you start — you will help build it.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of scheduling, dispatching, or coordinating experience in construction, trades, or field services.
  • Ability to read a construction schedule and understand dependencies.
  • Comfortable making phone calls all day, including delivering difficult news to subcontractors.
  • Strong software skills, with experience in JobTread, Buildertrend, Procore, Poologics, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to remain organized under pressure, managing multiple active jobs simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working without a pre-defined map and developing new procedures.
  • Desire to grow and take on increasing responsibility.
  • Ability to learn on your own initiative.
  • Team-minded and able to build trust with colleagues.
  • Works hard and takes ownership of outcomes.
  • Genuinely bothered by waste and inefficiencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Pool construction experience.
  • Familiarity with South Florida municipal inspection processes (Palm Beach County, Broward, and their cities).
  • Experience coordinating subcontracted trades rather than in-house crews.
  • Conversational Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Own the master calendar, including every dig date, every trade, and every inspection across every active job.
  • Take scheduling responsibilities away from field supervisors, allowing them to focus on site supervision.
  • Manage the master schedule for all active jobs, including every phase.
  • Set dig dates and sequence trades such as excavation, frame and steel, plumbing, electrical bond, gunite, tile and coping, decking, equipment set, plaster, and fire up.
  • Dispatch subcontractors, informing them of when and where to work, and confirming their arrival.
  • Schedule inspections, including setout, steel and gunite, rough plumbing, bonding and grounding, deck and coping, final mechanical, and final building, ensuring sites are ready.
  • Ensure phase-gate sequencing, understanding dependencies and not dispatching trades to unprepared sites.
  • Resequence the schedule when delays occur due to weather, permit issues, subcontractor no-shows, or material delays, communicating changes promptly.
