About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical Sector - Canada is seeking a Project Sales Representative to join the team at our Mississauga, ON site. The Project Sales team supports all major projects across Ontario. The candidate will gain market knowledge in bidding jobs along with building strong internal and external customer relationships. The role is responsible for managing all aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance to distributors, customers, contractors, and consultants, to drive sustainable sales growth.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years’ technical experience in the electrical industry
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Systems Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
  • P Eng., CET designation, or C-Tech
  • 5+ years of Field Sales or Project Closing experience
  • Knowledge of the GTA Residential / Commercial Construction market
  • Proven ability to develop and deploy strategies to deliver customer-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the customer relationship.
  • Provide sales and technical assistance to distributors, customers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Achieve team orders and sales goals by understanding and applying the fundamentals of the Eaton Value Cycle: Sales strategy, Market/Customer knowledge, Value proposition design, and Price for value.
  • Provide input on sales forecasts, based on negotiation activity & customer/channel feedback.
  • Introduce new products and implement promotional programs.
  • Prepare sales presentations to create product/service/solution understanding and awareness.
  • Understand, and be responsive to, market conditions and competitive activities; Communicate such information internally to drive corrective actions and inform Regional & District Strategies.
  • Work closely with the team to achieve team Orders and Sales goals.
  • Maintain co-operative and credible working relationships with internal personnel, to consistently exceed customer expectations.
  • Cultivate customer, channel, and internal relationships.
  • Develop bid strategies and quotations for customers using price and delivery guidelines, applying sound business decisions to enhance sales volume and margins.
  • Prepare sales proposals and value propositions to satisfy customer needs and expectations.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and distributors.
