About The Position

Spark Power Corp USA is seeking an experienced Project Safety Supervisor who will support the Project Teams in developing and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) by developing and maintaining a Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan. This role has the important responsibility of ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations. Our ideal Project Safety Supervisor candidate will be will someone who leads incident and injury investigations with the support from Production leadership and provide assistance during weekly toolbox safety meetings.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of previous experience in an HSE or safety role, preferably in electrical, construction, renewable energy, industrial, or utility environments.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.
  • Experience with field inspections, hazard assessments, JHAs/SWPs, and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and recommend practical controls.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency with safety management systems and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with third-party prequalification systems such as ISNetworld, Avetta.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to project and field locations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, where required.

Nice To Haves

  • diploma or certification in Occupational Health and Safety is an asset.
  • OSHA 30 hours, OSHA 500/510, ASP, CSP, GSP or CHST certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating weekly Total Case Incident Reports on large projects and submitting them to project leadership and management.
  • Provides field-level HSE leadership through inspections, training, hazard identification, incident prevention, and risk management while supporting compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, local, and client requirements.
  • Builds strong relationships with employees, supervisors, project managers, and operations leadership to promote engagement and continuous improvement.
