About The Position

S&R Enterprises is seeking a Project Safety Manager to lead safety operations for steel erection projects at the Kennedy Space Center near Orlando, FL. This role is hands-on and people-focused, emphasizing a proactive approach to safety where leaders are trusted, respected, and empowered. The Project Safety Manager will play a critical role in building infrastructure while shaping how safety is implemented in the field, with the authority to improve programs, influence job-site decisions, and implement solutions that protect people. Requirements

• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence crews in the field.
• Professional, confident communication at all levels of the team: from field to leadership.
• Working knowledge of OSHA MSHA Workers' Compensation DOT EPA regulations.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, active construction environments.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• 5+ years of safety experience in construction or industrial environments.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred, or at least 5+ years of hands-on experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead field safety operations across multiple project sites.
• Audit jobsites, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions.
• Support Superintendents, Foremen, and crews as a hands-on safety leader.
• Enforce Corporate Safety & Health Programs and regulatory compliance.
• Manage safety training, certifications, orientations, and documentation.
• Develop site-specific safety plans and lead regulatory inspections.
• Deliver equipment and jobsite safety training as needed.
• Report safety performance and trends to the Director of Safety.
