Project Rise After-School Assistant Teacher
About The Position
The teacher assistants provide assistance to the teachers and may be assigned to different teachers/areas within a single shift. Teacher Assistants also help with meal/snack distribution and cleanup, provide supervision during field trips and assist with record keeping and other duties as assigned. Assistants may be asked to participate in training sessions offered by Operation Shoestring. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, motivated and creative individual who has a passion for teaching and learning, bringing joy to children, and is flexible to respond positively to assigned tasks. Some activities and events may take place outdoors and require a moderate level of movement and participation from program staff. Some light lifting (maximum 20 lbs.) will be required to load materials and supplies for field trips.
